Gerber Artifact Review

Fri Nov 7 2008
The Gerber Artifact is a solidly built inexpensive keychain size multi-tool. The Artifact Features: a removable #11 hobby blade (x-acto style), a philips screwdriver, Small and medium flat screwdrivers, Wire stripper, Pry bar / paint can opener, Lanyard or keychain attachment hole. It is made in china which so far is its biggest downside from our initial tests during the last few weeks. It is made of 'cast stainless steel' according to the package, it is stout and we have not been able to break it or even bend it so far. The blade is not something I use too much, but it is easy to replace when dull or broken. At just under $10 this handy tool is a must have in our opinion

We bought this Gerber Artifact at Target, but it was one of the last two on the rack. We've included a link below to buy one online (which supports our websites).

I've used mine a few times to adjust the dials on optical scopes and target sights at the shooting range.

The point at the rear end of the Gerber Artifact is a philips screw driver, the two forks of the pry bar are designed for use as a slotted screwdriver and it works well for light to medium use

Of course there is also a bottle opener which worked well for us both right and left handed. I've read reviews of the Gerber Artifact being an in-effective bottle opener, but we had no trouble at all using it so far.
